Tuesday Morning Sketches #96

It's another fabulous skecth as Tuesday Morning Sketches with a great sponsor - Inky Impressions. Be sure to check out their blog they have some fabulous stamps. I spent a great deal of time on their blog and I adore their line of girls.

I have to admit this sketch stumped me! When I saw it I immediately saw "church" but I am not a church person when it comes to my stamps. As I kept staring at the image I had all kinds of ideas, but when I would go to put it together I would end up trashing what I started up with.

The sketch is amazing! I think there are so many wonderful possibilites. I think I need to start thinking outside of the box versus taking things so literally. I'm glad that I have the next 10 weeks to work on that!

I used one of my new stamps sets from TSG titled Lighten Up. I love this set. It reminded me of my grandmother and the gold lamps that she used to have in her home. I selected my background paper because it reminded me of wallpaper in an old Victorian house. What's more perfect with this paper than lamps!!

I appreciate your stopping by. I can't wait to see what you create. I love to hear your thoughts...be sure to leave me a comment.

Have an awesome day!

There She Goes Preview | Day Three

Today is the last day of our exciting sneak peak week here at There She Goes. The hop starts off at There She Goes, but if you came to my blog from Tammy's, then you're in the right place.

Needing a fairytale moment? Let this Prince and Princess escort you to a land far away! These wonderfully illustrated images from Di Carubia were designed to create a number of different scenes that you will enjoy using time and time again.

Once Upon A Time is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 15 of stamps and will sell for $18.

For my card I decided to challenge myself and go CAS...for me this is hard because I love designer paper. But what I really wanted to showcase are these absolutely adorable mice. They are just too cute and they needed a stage all their own. One of them reminds me of Gus Gus from Cinderella. This stamp set is just too cute!! Isn't that sentiment a girl's dream? I think this would be an adorable wedding card.

Would you like a chance to win the Once Upon A Time stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Once Upon A Time Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Once Upon A Time stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 28) during the Release Party Chat.

Next on the blog hop is the amazing Tobi!

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

There She Goes Preview | Day Two

Let's continue our exciting week here at There She Goes. This new set from Torico showcases her flawless and realistic illustration of these hearty flowers and is paired with several sentiments that coordinate with the image. This set is a must-have for any flower lover! The hop starts off at There She Goes, but if you came to my blog from Tammy's, then you're in the right place.

Forever is a 3x4 stamp set that includes a total of 5 of stamps and will sell for $7.

When I was growing up my mother owned a flower shop. I learned how to arrange flowers. Carnations are one of the easiest flowers to work with. This beauty from Torico is so awesome to work with - it took me back to my flower shop days. I absolutely enjoyed coloring these beauties with my Prisma color pencils and blending with OMS. I can't tell you how much fun I am having being guest designer. I hope that you are enjoying all the beautiful eye candy.

Would you like a chance to win the Forever stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Forever Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. Good Morning Sketchers -

Today we have another wonderful sketch and sponsor, Digital Delights. My apologies to Wendy as I did not get my act together and select a digi from their store. I love that they have black and white digis as well as colored images - great when you're in a pinch. I was busy daydreaming that school was over and that I had all the time in the world to put together my work.

I like this sketch because it can be flipped, be elaborate or go simple. I sort of when in between. I struggled all night with what I wanted to do. I used a new stamp and paper set from Close to My Heart. Of course I bought two packs of this paper because it's totally me - pink and green!

Melissa decided to postpone the judged challenge to this week. We sadly only had 4 players last week - I guess crayon resist is not people's thing! So please come and play along with us this week. I totally enjoy seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have an awesome day!!

TSG Birthday Blog Hop

Jessica wishing you the
happiest of birthdays
!!

Today, Meredith (Crafty Math Chick) put together a wonderful Birthday Blog Hop for Jessica, owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps.  I thought I was TSG's number one fan, but I think Meredith has me beat, but not by much!! If you came here from the marvelous Tammy Hershburger's blog...then you're on the right track.

I adore Jessica's stamps and it's an honor to be a part of this blog hop to honor you on this special day. The next stop on this birthday bash is the wonderfully talented Torico.

For my card I used Dream a New Dream. This is a new set for me and I hadn't inked it up yet. I was so excited to use this beautiful vase full of lillies. I used Prisma Color Pencils and OMS to blend. I think my coloring skills have improved over the years - especially when I am under stress!!

I hope you have an awesome day!!

Tulip

Hello Crafters -

I am having so much fun being a guest designer for There She Goes. Normally I don't get (make) a lot of time to craft, but school is winding down and I am loving inking up my stamps and practicing different techniques.

For my card today I pulled out my Prisma color pencils, OMS and nubs. I colored and blended and colored and blended until I got the color and shading I wanted. Then I did what I was most afraid of...shading around the image. I think it came out pretty cool!!

The set used here is called Tulip and is one of their wonderful mini sets that sells for $7 - how can you beat that?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #94

It's another fabulous Tuesday at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is challenge week - no sketch, but you need to pull out that white Crayola Crayon and do some Crayon Resist. Our sponsor this week is One Stop Cards.

When I began to make cards this was the first technique that I learned. I was going to cheat and post the card that I made years ago, but alas I could not find it. I couldn't believe how much trouble I had putting this together. I went through about 6 or 7 images and finally settled on of course my final card. I also have to admit that I fashioned my card after a tutorial I saw at Gina K Stamp TV. I didn't mean to it just sort of happened.

It has been raining here and I just wanted a little bit of sunshine. The stamp set I used is called Flowers, but I don't know made the set. I threw away the packaging and placed them in a CD case. I do however know where the sentiment came from...There She Goes - called Sentimental Thank You. The images are all handwritten and are just georgeous. I think it finished off my card perfectly. I hope it brings you some sunshine too!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have an awesome day!!

There She Goes Inspiration Challenge TSG107

It's time for a fantastc challenge at the There She Goes blog!

Tammy, this week’s Trendsetter of the week has chosen a beautiful photo as inspiration for this week’s challenge. The beautiful, bright colored flowers surrounding the soft, subtle Bluebird makes for a winning combination!

I needed a special thank you card for my wonderful volunteer. It's the last week she'll be coming to my class (until next year, anyway). I fell in love with this picture. My problem is I can't tell if the color is pink or red! So I opted to go for red. When I saw this image I immediately saw red roses. My volunteer was kind enough to thank me with a beautiful miniture red rose bush. Now, I can give her red roses back.

For my card I used not one, but three There She Goes stamp sets: Birdie Wishes, Act of Kindess (tree), and Sweat Pea (sentiment). This is why I love TSG because all the sets can be mixed and matched. I hope my card inspires you in some way. I appreciate your coming by.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card inspired by Tammy’s photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG107 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to help you get started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #93

Okay, I must remember that when going outdoors I have to wear sunscreen!! Took the students to the Botanic Gardens today and I wore sunscreen, but no hat and I am burnt to a crisp. We have another field trip scheduled for Wednesday, but it's only going to be 56 degrees and I'll just continue to smear on sunscreen and remember I only have 14 more days to go and then it's my break - YEAH!!

Today's sketch is awesome! As well as this week's sponsor - Sassy Studio Designs. She has some "hot" digis. I checked out her movie section which happens to be one of my favorite things. I love going to the movies. I had a hard time trying to decide which digi I wanted to select for my project. Once you go to their store you'll see what I mean.

I really love how this project came out. There's only one thing I wish that I understood how to do...the original dress is ivory lace. I think it would be totally cool if I could figure out how to put lace on this image. The image of course would have to be much bigger. It was hard enough cutting the image out let alone cutting lace to fit on the dress itself. One day over my break I'll have to look to see how I can add lace to a card....hmmm what a great challenge that would be.

My Fair Lady was a fabulous movie. I just love Audry Hepburn. I love this image. Now I'll have to get our sponsor to make a Breakfast at Tiffanys. I hope you liked my card. I love hearing from you - so please leave me a little love!!

Have an awesome day!

The Mother of All Blog Hops

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Mother of All Blog Hops sponsored by There She Goes Clears Stamps!   If you’ve arrived here from Julie's amazing post, then you are in the right spot!  If not, you will want to start back on the There She Goes team blog in order to find out what you need to do to be eligible for the prizes being offered!

Being a part of this blog hop is such an honor for me. I love TSG stamps and all the versatility they offer. One of my absolute favorite sets (of course all of them are my favorite sets) is Believe in You. Although it is the most wonder school set on the market - I chose to showcase how versatile the sets are. Because it's mother's day weekend I made another mother's day card for another friend. She selected the colors because they are her mother's favorite. She loved the sentiment I used because she said it was the epitome of her mother.

I hope that you have enjoyed the blog hop thus far...but it's time to move onto one of my favorite TSG Trendsetters. It absolutely gives me please to send you onto the amazingly talented Jodi.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Mother's Day

Hello Crafters - I can't believe it, three cards in one week!!

I am not much into mother's day, and when I was showing my classroom assistant my cards she asked if I would make her a mother's day card. I was honored. She's the first person who's ever asked me to make anything.

The set I used here comes from Close to My Heart. I totally don't get any credit for the design. They had a small flyer and this beautiful card was showcased. I loved it the second I saw it and finally had a reason to CASE it. I did do a few things different -- I patiently cut the antenna of the butterfly. Their picture cut them off and I just couldn't see that because they are so elegant looking. I used a different background paper and my card is a different size. I changed the sentiment - I used the word "Mother," and I added the pearls. Either way, I think the card is stunning.

I just love the dress dummy (I know they have an official name - I just don't know what it is). It does remind me of my mother, she had one when I was a kid. Normally I don't post cards that I CASE, but this one is just so beautiful that I had to share.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #92

It's a beautiful Tuesday in Colorado and it's another wonderful sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I get to take credit for today's sketch. Melissa has asked the DT to come up with a sketch or two - to make us really think!! I wanted something simple, so that one can make it simple or over-the-top. Today our sponsor is StampFairy. Guess what? I got a printer and I was able to select this darling digi to play with. Be sure to check out their store.

I agonized over the colors to use in this card. I wanted a total pink card, but pink has nothing really to do with spring - other than flowers. I wanted yellow because I love the rain suits that are yellow. Well, I decided to just combine pink and yellow together. I thought the colors matched well. I really took my time when it came to coloring...I pulled out my watercolor brush. I just relaxed and enjoyed painting.

Now, you notice the little water drops on the white card stock...believe it or not I cut each of of those little babies out. When I realized I couldn't set my image in the angle on the sketch, I cut her out, but in the process I lost the rain drops and I love the rain drops. I tried drawing them, but they came out too big. So I put on my magnifying glasses and cut away. I think it was worth it! I hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have an awesome day!

Fantastic Announcement

I am so excited to make today's announcement. I have been sitting on this information for a couple of months now and normally I can't keep secrets, but I held this under wraps. As many of you know I am a HUGE fan of There She Goes Clear Stamps. I have been a fan of theirs for nearly two years. I adore Jessica, her stamps, and I love the Trendsetters.

I am excited to announce that for May and June I get to be a Guest Trendsetter!! (I hope that I didn't break your ear drum from my screaming so loud with excitment). I am so happy that I was asked and so very honored. I amongst some of the most talented women in the crafting industry and I consider myself very lucky. I hope that I do TSG proud!

Onto my first card...I selected a wonderful set called Love Birds and the sentiment is from Everyday Greetings. I absolutely love bird cages, I think there is something unique about them. I just had to use it. I adore the heart in the middle of the cage. The rest of the set is absolutely adorable...be sure to check it out.

I hope that you have an awesome day!
