Sweet Sketch Sunday Challenge #161

Good Evening Crafters -

I'm back with a second post for tonight. It's been such a wonderful couple of last days. Cooler weather (low 90s) and a wonderful breeze. Been able to work in the craft room - and it's been great! I also want to say hello to the several new followers I've gained. Thank you I really appreciate your comments and support.

I am submitting an additional card for Karen Giron's Sweet Sketch Sunday Challenge #161. This time I wanted to show something a little more to different to show some diversity and how sketches don't need to be taken so literally. I really like this card. I used a stamps set that I haven't used in more than a couple of years.

Here is Karen's wonderful sketch and my card. I hope you like it!

There She Goes Release Week | Day Four

I have been so excited for this day. It's the last day for the There She Goes sneek peeks. When I saw this set it was so hard to keep my mouth shut and not show everyone. I am just tickled with this set.

For all your well-wishing needs, Melyssa has created this SUPER cute and VERY versatile set, Get Well Wishes!! Nothing says feel better soon like a handmade card, and this set contains the perfect sentiments and images to say exactly what you need to say to brighten someone’s day! With sentiments for nurses, too, you will get TONS of use out of this SUPER adorable set!!

Get Well Wishes is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 19 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I am just so pleased with how my card turned out. I have the perfect person to give this to, my friend Sarah who is a nurse and card maker. She will love this. I wish I had this stamp set while I was dealing with medical issues - I have so many nurses that did so much for me. Isn't this just fabulous? I also couldn't resist seeking out the right paper to paper piece her scrubs. I love that nurses wear scrubs so that children won't be frightened - I found these adorable little monkeys.

I am also entering my card into Karen Giron's - Sweet Sketch Sunday (SSSC161) DT call. I adore Karen and would love to work for her. She has taught me so much. Wish me luck - the competition is tough.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

I hope that you have been enjoying the There She Goes release week blog hops. We are now on day three and we have another awesome set!

When drawing up last month’s Oh Crop set, there were just TOO many cute images and sayings for one set, so we HAD to split it into two. Poultry In Motion is the companion set to Oh Crop, and includes SEVERAL new sayings, and more ADORABLE images you are sure to love! From the farmer’s wife, to several more barn yard friends, you will LOVE what you can create when these two sets combine.

Poultry in Motion is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 30 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

For my card today, I couldn't resist using this adorable sheep. What a cute way to say, "I'm so sorry!" Nothing like turning "red" when you feel embarrassed heh? I think this is just adorable. I hope you do to.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Two

It's day two for the There She Goes Release Week. Today we have a fabulous set from Torico. This set is right up my alley - I love cross stitching and this set is too perfect!!

Last month, we released the CUTEST set by Torico, Cute as a Button. This month, we have it’s PERFECT companion-Stitched With Love! Full of additional images and sentiments, whether used separately, or together, no matter what you create, Stitched With Love will be PERFECT for the crafter in your life (or you!!)!!

Stitched With Love is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

For my card today, I found the perfect ribbon to make my hooped project as a finished piece. I even made sure to use textured card stock that would resemble cross stitch fabric. Isn't this great? Hopefully you can see the detail in the DP - it's actually a pattern for cross stitching. I'm afraid it's a bit light, but if you see the card in real life - it's awesome.

Sniff…Sniff…..Can you smell what Melyssa has created for us this month?? It is SCENT-SATIONAL!!! Full of super cute sayings, and the most adorable skunks EVER, well, there really isn’t anything stinky about this set! Adorable AND punny…just how we like it!!

Scent-sational is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 23 stamps and will sell for $24.00.
Scent- Sational Theresa Winslow

For my card, I used an older Deconstructed Sketch - sketch. I really liked the layout and it fits so perfectly for this cute little Pepe Le Pew. I also decided to try some photography from my window - not too bad! My older sister challenged me to make cards this week without my big luscious bow - I love my bows thank you very much - but I'm going to give it a try. Look no bow on this card!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #152

Hello Crafters -

Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a great sketch, which I took some liberties with because I totally love this image from our sponsor Paper Garden Projects. When I looked at their sight I was impressed with their stock...they are currently having a clearance on all their Copics. They also offer digital stamps, and tons of supplies for the obsessed crafter.

For my card I selected this absolutely gorgeous digi titled - Flower Fashion - it's just gorgeous! I love how my card came out. So when I say I took a few liberties, I made the area just a bit bigger so that I could play with this gorgeous stamp. I hope you like my card. I can't wait to see what you create.

TMS-#154

On a sad note, this is Kathy's last post with TMS. We will miss her greatly. Also, Cheryl will be taking the summer off to be with her little munchkin and we'll welcome her back in the fall. Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT they've made some amazing creations.

Here's today's sketch - I just flipped it!! I left off the sentiment because I just wanted the detail of dress to shine.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Love Is For The Birds

Hello Crafters -

It has been an unbelievable hot weekend here in Denver. It made it to 104 the other day. I don't ever remember it being this hot! I ended up packing up my Copics and images and went to Panera's for a few hours - I actually got cold in there.

Last week was There She Goes (Again)! I was able to get to 2 of the 3 sets. I had colored the third (Love Birds) set up, but I never got the chance to get it made into a card. I decided to use it for today's TSG #162 Sketch Challenge. I love how this card came out. I know there isn't a sentiment, I added it to the inside of the card and it says, "Love is for the birds."

Love Birds- Theresa Winslow

Spread Your Wings

Hello Crafters - what a fabulous day it was in Denver today. Overcast, a slight cool breeze, and about 73 degrees. It was so nice!! I went and sat on the patio of Baker's Street Bar and Grill and visited with friends. It was great to talk with teacher friends and not talk shop. It was great to just laugh and be girls!!

Onto my card. Yes, I posted a card earlier this week showcasing Spread Your Wings from There She Goes. When I was coloring this gorgeous butterfly I couldn't decide on the pink or the blue. I love how the pink card came out and decided I wasn't going to let the blue butterfly go in the trash. I borrowed an old sketch from Mojo Monday and I am so happy with this card.

Spread Your Wings - Theresa Winslow

I just love how the coloring came out and isn't this paper just luscious? I won't keep you so you can head on over to the TSG store and purchase this set and all the others you know you want. Don't forget there's a big sale happening till the 29th.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

You've seen one card I made with Spread Your Wings and I have another for tomorrow. Today I am excited to share Bee Happy. Another exciting thing...the three sets are all on sale!

I have noticed in blog land that "hexagons" seem to be all the craze right now. Well I hope you like this "grouped" hexagons that make that honeycomb pattern. I know I love this card. I am so excited to share it with you. I totally love love love the ribbon. I got it from The Ribbon Carousel - it came just in time for me to put it on my card.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #151

Hello Crafters - what a hot day it going to be today. Yesterday we made it into the 100s and it's not even summer yet. Is Colorado ever in for a major heat wave. Too bad I don't know how to swim!

Here at TMS we have a new sketch today - don't let it intimidate you. I found it to be fun. I hope you like what I've come up with.

TMS-#153

The sketch is fabulous and we have The Beary Scrap as our sponsor this week. The Beary Scrap is a great little crafting store. They offer paper packs (my biggest weakness), they had Copics on clearance - missed it!   Currently they are having a huge sale - be sure to check out their store.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT for some major inspiration.

For my card I chose Spread Your Wings - a set I just got! I can't believe I didn't get it when it came out. How did I miss that? I loved this butterfly so much that I made two cards, this one and one that I'll feature later this week. Actually this whole week will be all about wings and things. It's the beginning of TSG Again week and the the Spread Your Wings is one of the featured sets. I also used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #39 as the basis for my card.

Sew Thankful

I am so happy that I finally feel nearly 100% better. Even the cough has finally settled down. I can finally enjoy my vacation time - even though I am subbing all week for summer school. It's fun because it's just a few hours and I get my kid fix for the day.

For today, I have so desperately wanted to use the newly released set Cute As A Button from There She Goes. I was sick during the release and just had to give in to sleep. I set my stamp set aside. I was so happy to pull it out and get in all inky. I was so excited when I saw this set. I just love the wire mannequin. It reminds me of the one my mother had when I was growing up - although hers was not wire.

Sew-Thankful---Theresa-Wins

I decided to play along with The Ribbon Carousel RCC57 - Get Sketchy challenge. I have never played in any of their challenges. I have a ton of amazing ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel and I just bought some fabulous paper packs from Corinna as well. I really like the sketch I think it really fit this image quite well. Their challenge says make sure it has ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread...anything on a spool. I did just that!!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have an incredibly awesome day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #150

I'm ALIVE!! I'm finally feeling like a person again. I am back in my craft room - course it really needs to be cleaned and organized, but I am back. I have a lot of catching up on. I have so many fabulous stamps that want to be inked up - and that's my plan!! Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I appreciate that I am in your thoughts.

This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a fun sketch and Designed2Delight is our sponsor. This week is also our Judged Challenge week and the twist is to use the sketch and Kraft, Black, and 1 extra color. Of course I incorporated "pink" - my favorite color!!

TMS-#152

I love how this card came out. I really like kraft I don't know why I don't use it more often.

It was so wonderful to see all your fabulous creations this past week. It was great too see nearly 40 players. Pass on the word ladies - TMS is fun and you are all very creative. So here's the sketch, be sure to stop by the rest of the DT and leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #149

Good Morning TMS Fans -

I am so sorry that I have been so absent. I am hoping to get back to crafting and commenting this week. Whatever bug I have has just really kicked my butt! Here I thought I was getting better and I can feel my throat swell and chest tightening again - it's another call to the doctor in the morning. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.

This week at TMS we have a fabulous sketch and one of my favorite sponsors - Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I love their images. The biggest problem I have is picking just one! Melissa picked an image for me and sent it to me, but I'll be darned if I can find it in my email. So I chose to use an image (Flower Trio) that I have had and wanted to color up. This time I did not use my Copics - I went back to my color pencils. It was just fun to color these fun little flowers.

I flipped the sketch so that my image would fit. Isn't this ribbon just perfect? It was in a selection of a kit of the month from the Ribbon Carousel - I just love the colors. I used a sentiment from Close To My Heart - Crafted with Love and the bling also came from CTMH. The grid paper is from Me & My Big Ideas.

I can't wait to see what you create. This time I will be around to see your fabulous cards.

Have an awesome day!
