TMS #157 & Cupcake Craftroom

Hello Crafters -

Can you believe it's the last day of July!! It's just about time to go back to work. I hope that August will not be as hot as July has been - wishful thinking.

Today I decided to combine two of my Design Team Challenges: Tuesday Morning Sketches and Cupcake Craftroom. For Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a fabulous sketch that can be interpreted in many ways. Our sponsor is Clear Dollar Stamps. For the Cupcake Craftroom I couldn't resist using these delicious new papers for the TMS Challenge. I am sneaking the papers and challenge a day a head of time - so forgive me Mandy.

TMS-#159

For my card today I used a stamp set titled Home Tweet Home. I struggled to color or not color. So I decided to leave the stamp as is and just add the bird. I love bird cages. The paper I paired this gorgeous set with is new paper from the Cupcake Craftroom titled Lilac & Lime Spring Collection Papers. The challenge at the Cupcake Craftroom is to be fresh and summery. Create a card or project that is all about being fresh and summery - the papers are fresh and colorful and what's more summery than a bird hanging on the patio in the summer.

I hope you'll join us for both challenges.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day.

There She Goes Release Week | Day Three

Welcome to day three of the There She Goes release week.

I took today's images and went a completely different direction...

No sweeter treat, or better way to Enjoy Life in the summer time than an ice cream cone, am I right? Well, Torico has made a FABULOUS set of mix and match patterns of ice cream, and their cones, for you to custom make your own YUMMY treats! And even better, we have custom made our own Die’s to go along with this FABULOUS set!!!

Enjoy Life is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 11 stamps and will sell for $10.00

Enjoy Life Dies include 3 dies will sell separately for $8.25

Enjoy Life Dies - There She Goes Clear Stamps

As you can see I took this set in a completely different direction. My life is based on the school calendar and I am thinking about the first holiday that will take place at school - Halloween. When I saw the Enjoy Life set - I immediately saw one the of stamps as a big candy corn - and that's where I took my project. I used the die to cut out the "cone" and then I stamped the cone in the layered colors-easy peasy!! I combined my candy corn with Hauntingly Delightful to make this great treat bag topper.

Would you like to win the new Enjoy Life stamp set and matching Dies? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. There She Goes Release Week | Day One

I so look forward to this time of the month - There She Goes Release Week!

Another FUN addition to her SUPER CUTE robot line, Torico is back with this month’s Maidbot. I know we all WISH we had one, and well, now you SORT OF do!!!! Imagine the fun cards and scrapbook pages you can make with this cutie, and her cleaning tools!

Maidbot is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 6 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Maidbot by There She Goes

For my card, the first thing I thought about was how wonderful it would be to be rich to have a maid. I tell you, "I'd milk it for all it's worth!" I am entering my card into the Sketch Saturday #217 challenge.   I thought their sketch was perfect for this cutie!! This is what I love about TSG stamps - I used Poultry in Motion for the milk carton and the sentiment.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #156

Hello Crafters -

First let me start off by welcoming my new followers and thanking each and everyone of you for all the fabulous comments. I hope to visit your blogs in the next day or two to see all your wonderful creations.

Well it's time for a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Our sponsor this week is the Doodle Pantry. For my card I selected an image called "Forget Me Nots" these are just delightful delicate pretty flowers. I did not use the entire image I used the .png file and cut what I wanted. I didn't think I had the capabilities. I love how this card came out - simple and cheery. I chose to use a sentiment from There She Goes because I have a special person in mind for this card.

TMS-#158

Here is today's sketch. Once again, please stop by the rest of the DT and leave them some love. They really have done an excellent job with their cards.

Again, you are all the best! I appreciate you're time and comments. Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

There She Goes (Again)! Christmas in July

This week is TSG (Again)! week, where we are featuring some of the older TSG stamp sets. This month's sets are...

For my card I selected another image from Penguin Pals. I adore this little Christmas tree. I paired this little tree with Mistletoe paper from Close To My Heart. This is also my second card using this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I thought the sketch was perfect for this image.

Penguin Pals - Theresa Winslow2

I hope you'll head over to the TSG store because Jessica is offering at 15% off your entire order. Now's the time to get ahead of the holiday hustle and bustle! As I said yesterday, I don't generally like this tradition but I'm actually excited that I have 3 and possibly 4 cards completed for Christmas! I think we need to have a Halloween in April tradition!

Thanks for stopping by. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate all your wonderful comments. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #155

It's a wonderful day here in Denver...and I'm in a class all day learning to add and subtract! Actually learning to get kids to think about how they add and subtract. Fun fun!!

It's time for a new sketch and sponsor at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Our sponsor this week is none other than the Cupcake Craftroom - one of the DT's that I have the privilege to be on. The Cupcake Craftroom offers some fabulous digital papers. Be sure to check out Mandy's store. The sketch is totally awesome and can be interpreted in many ways.

TMS-#157

For my card I used Cupcake Craftroom digital paper Spring Bouquet and Primrose Path. The image is from Flourishes and called Make a Wish. Isn't that rose just dreamy? Believe it or not the bow is not peach, but a really beautiful light pink. Somehow with the photography - it looks peach!!

Here is the sketch. I do hope that you'll take the time to visit the DTs blogs and see their fabulous creations. I can't wait to see what you do with this sketch.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!!

TSG ~ Christmas in July

Hello All -

Okay I had to redo my post! I put the wrong date on the schedule. I was reading Facebook and read that my friend Craft Math Chick (Meredith) made a project late last night and realized she put one of her states backwards and had to redo the whole project. Well...as I was editing my card I was looking at it it looked funny...the nestie cut out is backwards! There is no fixing this...I have a brad going through it, and dimensionals on the back - it would make a serious mess!! It was hot, I was watching a Lifetime movie and crying - you know how they are - and I just missed it! But I love my card anyway.

With all that said...This week, our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetters! That's right stampers, and TSG Fans, it's Christmas in July!! Use any Christmas themed stamps or papers on your card or project! Let's all get a jump start on our holiday projects!!
Penguin-Pals---Theresa-Wins

For my card today I used Penguin Pals. I hadn't inked up this set yet and although I am not a big person on this tradition I have to say I really enjoyed coloring up this darling little penguin. I have a couple of other projects to share with this same set later this week. I used Sketchbook Saturday for my layout. I did put a sentiment on the card...it's on the side along with a stamped and colored candy cane. I ran out of battery on the camera!!
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project with the Christmas in July theme, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 23). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG165 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to help you get started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

Oh Crop!

Hello Folks, quick post today...

I colored up this cute little guy a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting him onto a card. This cutie comes from a set released a couple of months ago from There She Goes. It's called Oh Crop and it's totally too fun. It also has a companion set that was released last month called Poultry In Motion - you have to check them out.

Now as you look at my card, you need to know that the sentiment that I used is not part of the set. I just couldn't resist it! I typed it up and printed it out. I did get Jessica's blessings. I think my home is a bit too hot because the Liquid Glass wouldn't play nice on his glasses.

Oh-Crop---Theresa-Winslow

I appreciate your stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #154

Hello Crafters -

It's been a fabulous week here in Denver. I have enjoyed the couple of days of rain and the cool weather. Too bad it's not going to last too long. I'll be in a class for the next three days, so at least I get to sit in a/c all day!! A luxury I don't have at home.

This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a great sketch and it's judged challenge week which means there is a twist with the card. All you need do is use the sketch and include things with wings - the image, an embellishment, you name it! We also have the sweetest lady in the world sponsoring us this week, Korin from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

TMS-#156

For my card I selected the Praise the Lord Clear Stamp Set. I happened to really love the bird and had to jump at the chance to color this gorgeous bird. The paper comes from My Mind's Eye I used two different 6x6 pads - Portobello Road and Market Street aren't they just perfect. Many of my crafting friends ask, "How can you color the images before you select the paper?" I love to color and then I always seem to find the right paper afterwards. I think that's the fun part of crafting!!

Here is our sketch. As you can see I flipped the sketch. I hope you join us this week. Do stop by the rest of the DT and leave some love. They have produced some fabulous cards to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Happy Fourth of July

Evening Folks -

Well the best laid plans don't always go the way you plan. I had hoped to have this card posted by this morning, but I was struggling with the papers and finding what I wanted. So I am getting in my Fourth of July card in just under the wire (midnight eastern time)!!

I was stalking Shelby's blog and too a liking to a Mayzy Arts digi so I decided to click on her link and found a couple of images that I really liked. My favorite stamp companies don't really carry anything to celebrate the fourth. I wanted to this...I hope you like what I've come up with.

Fourth-of-July

I totally loved coloring this little beauty. I went through all the digital paper that I had from Cupcake Craftroom and I found the red striped paper in one pack and the stars in another. I was tickled!! I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #162 for the basis of my card. I would also like to enter my card for the following challenges:
*  Paper Playtime: Die cut + Red, white and blue

I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July. Thanks to all the men and women in our Armed Services who continue to fight for our freedom.

Have an awesome evening.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #153

Hello Crafters -

It's another wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketches day. We have a great sketch and a wonderful sponsor - Meljen's DesignsI am also excited to announce our Design Team for our Summer/Winter term.  We're welcoming back Angela, Dawn and Cheryl (although on summer leave) and our new DT Members are Laura Nehring, Bonnie aka Grandma Bonnie, Jessi Fogan and Debbie Foster.  Welcome ladies we are excited to see all your gorgeous work!!

I really don't get a lot of credit for my card today. When Bonnie aka Grandma Bonnie was offered the DT job I learned that she was coming to Colorado. Well we managed to hook up for two days of fun crafting. I was whining about having to make a circle card - they are totally too hard for me. Well being the wonderful grandma she is, she put together the base of my card. All I did was color the fun image. Thanks to Bonnie!!

I hope you'll take the time to drop by our new team members and give them a TMS Welcome. Here are the DT's Blogs.
